I have been a ventriloquist since the age of 12. For over 25 years I have entertained 100’s of 1000’s of people from 1 – 103 year olds, from Basingstoke, UK to Perth Down Under, in front of Lords, Ladies, MP’s, Royalty, Celebrities and more.


As well as touring the UK in the Ken Dodd Laughter Show for 3 years Steve had the Amazing opportunity of Touring his own 45 date Theatre Tour ‘Thinking Inside The Box’ in 2014 to thousands of British families after his successful appearances on the Britain’s Got Talent Final with his Simon Cowell creation.


Steve’s proud moments were to perform on board the QE2 for its last ever Atlantic crossing from Southampton to New York. And in November 2014 attended a 125th Year Celebration of the Grand Order of Water rats where he proudly introduced his wife Nina to Her Majesty the Queen & HRH Prince Phillip, it was also the year Roy Hudd & Roger De Courcey proposed Steve into the Showbusiness order.

Steve Hewlett is a Young New Innovator in the World of Comedy Ventriloquism.

An International Artist who is a favourite among many Theatres & Cruise Ships Worldwide including Princess, Silversea, Sevenseas & Disney Cruise Lines. Pantomimes & Summer seasons across the UK.

TV & Radio Credits as well as a successful reputation on the Cabaret Circuit have earned Steve & his friends a great step on the ladder of Top Ventriloquists.


To the delight of Sir Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2, in 2006 Steve became the new voice of Archie Andrews of ‘Educating Archie’ fame. Steve co-wrote a biographical play highlighting the career of Ventriloquist Peter Brough. The play was finally staged in Eastbourne in 2012 with Peter Brough’s daughter Romey Brough in attendance, Archie has now once again retired to the suitcase.


In 2015 Steve took Ventriloquism back on BBC Radio 2 where he gave Chris Evans a few lessons live on air.
